This Privacy policy only applies to Generator Hostels Ltd and not to the websites of other companies, individuals or organisations to whom we provide links for.

GUEST PERSONAL DATA

Generator Hostels LTD respects your privacy and will not sell or disclose your personal information to any other person, business or 3rd parties unless we feel it may be in a case of emergency and feel the need to do so as part of our duty of care.

RESERVATION DATA

In order for us to confirm a reservation for you, we do require some information from you. This will usually consist of:

• Name
• Contact information – in case of an emergency
• Gender
• Nationality
• Date of Birth
• Identification data i.e. Passport, Driving License details
• Credit card details, including the three-digit code that appears on the back of your credit card
• Date of arrival and departure
• Email address

Upon arrival we will then require the same information from your fellow travellers, please ensure they are all aware of this to ensure a quick and efficient check-in.

USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

Not only is our collect information for the safety of our guests , but so we are undestand who we are accommodating in our Hostels for the safety of staff and all our guests. We also collect our guests nationality, date of birth, gender , for statistical analysis purposes.

For online reservations, we send an instant confirmation therefore will require your email address, we will also ask your consent if you would like our Newsletters – where special offers and hostel news will be sent. You will always be given the option to opt out of this service. When you leave our hostel and we need to contact you for any reason such as postal letters or lost property we find that emailing you is the most efficient mode of contact.

UPDATING GUEST PERSONAL DATA

As an accommodation provider we have regular guests returning on a regular basis, It is your duty to inform us if the personal information which we hold about you needs to be amended, corrected or updated

CREDIT CARD DATA

In order to guarantee reservations on the telephone, on our website or via our smartphone application, we require a full 16 digit credit card number as well as the expiry date.

Your credit card details are only used to secure your booking and will only be debited if you do not follow our cancellation policy by cancelling your booking at least 24hours before arrival, or indeed by failing to arrive for your reservation; in both cases 1 night charge will be debited.

We use cookies to save information that helps you – for example to save you entering your personal details every time you re-visit the site.

The cookies contain no personal details about you. And you can disable cookies at any time by changing your browser preferences.

THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

Our website contains links to many other websites promoting there business and needs to our guests. We are not responsible and accept no liability for the privacy policies or practices of third party websites.

PHOTOGRAPHY & FILM

No permission is needed to take photos in our hostel, please feel free to take photographs or your parties, groups or friends. However, we do ask if photographing other guests that are not part of your group that you first ask if they mind having their picture taken. No written consent is needed. Verbal consent is solicited as a goodwill gesture, but it is not legally required.

We are more than happy for you to send in “Your Photos” of your amazing experience at Generator Hostels locations and encourage you to e-mail photos to Nathan@generatorhostels.com for use on our website. Please ensure you have the verbal consent of all persons visible in the photos before asking us to publish these.

On occasions we have our own professional film crews in our hostels taking photos for promotional purposes, if by chance you are in house when we do so and do not want to be photographed, please leave the filming area.

We love taking photos to show the world what we have to offer and often use these photos of our guests experiencing our hostels on our website. We update our website pages daily and only upload clean, professional, fun, genuine photos.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may instruct us to provide you with details of any personal information we hold about you. Provision of such information will be subject to you proving your identity and full address with a utility bill and full passport details.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

In the future due to changes in privacy laws we may feel the need to amend or change our Privacy Policy and may do this at any time without any warning; so please keep updated by reading our policy as it may change the way we use and gather your personal information in the years to come .
