See Mamma Mia at the Aldwych Theatre
Review by Amanda
Mamma Mia is a great live experience, exploding with heart-pounding music !
Over 27 million people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feel-good show.
Catherine Johnson’s sunny, funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the day before her wedding, a daughter’s mission to discover who her father is brings 3 men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago!
The story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, and every night everyone’s having the time of their lives!
Hit songs, including “Waterloo”, “Super Trouper”, “Chiquitita” and “Knowing Me, Knowing You”.
My experience
My friends couldn’t belive i haven’t seen the film Mamma Mia, so when i mentioned i was going to see the musical they insisted i watched the film first, i didn’t watch the film as i thought it might spoil the show.
A couple of drinks before entry in the in house bar to warm up the vocal cords. (The wine was cheap) and no queues. Our seats were in the middle and we could see the whole stage.
From start to finish every scene was just amazing. A show that can be watch over and over again.
I must say what a fantastic Musical, one of the best I’ve seen in a long time, I don’t really want to say too much about the show , but my friends say the musical is even better than the film, you will have to see this for yourself to enjoy the experience, the actors/actresses were amazing and we really did have a “Super Trouper” time.
A highly recommend musical to go and see.
