Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace
One of the top tourist attractions in London, the Changing of the Guard, takes place outside of Buckingham Palace and draws many tourists to its gates to peer through and enjoy the show.
The guards involved uphold the traditions of English heritage as well as serving their country as professional soldiers.
Usually taking place every other day at 11:30am in the courtyard of the magnificent palace, which serves as a home for the Queen, people are advised to arrive about 15 minutes early.
To get some good snaps of the event Wellington Barracks to the left of Buckingham Palace is suggested by the official website as a good spot.
Similarly, there is also a guard standing on his own outside St James’ Palace which provides the perfect photo opportunity.
After watching the ceremony people may want to visit the Guards Museum or perhaps watch the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle.
