For those planning a shopping trip in London but wanting to avoid the well-trodden paths of the high street stores on Oxford Street, King’s Road may be a viable destination.
Located in the heart of Chelsea, it is, according to Street Sensation, home to numerous small fashion stores, giving shoppers an easy way to spend a lot of money on a new wardrobe.
One of the main features of King’s Road is the Peter Jones department store, which offers a personal shopper service for those who just can’t decide which dress to buy, as well as a restaurant on the top floor.
Space: NK, Ted Baker, All Saints, Kurt Geiger, Karen Millen, Ghost and Cath Kidston are among the names that have stores on King’s Road, while there are also a number of restaurants, bars and cafes where you can stop for a break from shopping.
These include the Juju champagne and cocktail lounge and hamburger restaurant Byron, which won the title of Best Cheap Eat 2009 at the Observer Food Monthly Awards.
