Weather

Check the weather report in the morning whether it be on the TV, internet or local newspaper.

If we are expecting a lovely sunny day – remember the children’s hats, long sleeve tops, sun cream & water bottles. If you are expecting rain, take an umbrella a few ponchos and boots, we do sell umbrellas and ponchos in our Travel shop. (Buying items from tourist shops in the centre of town will cost a small fortune).

Take plenty of drink out with you, especially when going onto the tube.

Eating Out

With children in restaurants it can turn out to be less than relaxing if the restaurant is not chosen carefully. Listed below are some of the things to look out for when choosing a restaurant to go to with children. Not all of the areas will be important to all people but they should help you in your choice of restaurant

Taking a Lunch with you will also save time and money, The Generator offers sandwiches and snacks in the travel shop at a cheap price, The prices you will pay in the center of Town will double . Also in the Zoo’s, Museums , Bowling will charge a lot of money for snacks.

Look at the menu to ensure you are all happy with the food they offer.

Does the children’s food come first?

Are there high chairs available

Are there non-smoking areas in the restaurant?

Are there baby changing facilities?

Is there safe outdoor space?

Here are a few recommendations:

Belgo

Based on Belgian Chips, Beer & Moules (mussels) there are a few restaurants dotted around London. Two kids eat free from the children’s menu per adult eating a main course from the a la carte menu.

Pizza Express

On every high street corner there is a Pizza Express. The food is pretty consistent from one branch t the other. We particularly like Pizza Express as they serve the food quickly, so little time for the children to get bored.

WagaMama

Japanese based noodle bar with too many locations to mention. The kids love the experience of eating with chopsticks or giant soup spoons out of bowls.
