Cirque du Soleil returns

At Wembley Arena in London

Travellers who want to see some of the best shows around when they visit London may wish to take in a particularly spectacular display when Cirque du Soleil returns to the capital.

Hitting Wembley Arena with Saltimbanco, trapeze artists, gymnasts, acrobats and contortionists will be super-sizing the spectacle – which the troupe first toured in 1992 – in order to take as many viewers as possible on their journey.

To date, millions of people have seen the show – and visitors to London may wish to join their ranks by attending one of the Wembley dates from July 28th to August 1st.

According to the Cirque website: “Between whirlwind and lull, prowess and poetry, Saltimbanco takes spectators on an allegorical and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city.”

Cirque du Soleil was founded in Canada by a group of street performers in 1982 and almost 30 years later is one of the biggest troupes of its kind to tour the globe.
