Information
How did they get there? Why are they still there? Stonehenge is a bit of a mystery. Situated on Salisbury Hill 40 ton rocks stand alone since there arrival 5’000 years ago. Stonehenge is truly something spectacular that you just have to see on your trip to England. Situated just over an hour out of Central London getting there is simple. Why not do the whole thing and check out Bath as well you can buy tours and tickets from Anderson Tours from our in house travel shop.
My Experience
Ok I’ll be honest at first I was a bit sceptical. A big bunch of rocks I can see that anywhere can’t I? The first thing I noticed was how much cleaner the air was as I left London and how green it all was. Then as you step closer to the rocks this strange kind of mystical feeling washes over you and I felt peace. Ok well maybe not that much but it was a nice experience and I really recommend you get the audio which is free to pick up as your walking in and gives you interesting information about the world heritage site and a bit of a history about the rocks.
