Release your inner child at the London Zoo !

Review by Amanda
London Zoo is located in the heart of scenic Regent’s Park, and features more than 750 species including invertebrates, reptiles, birds, and small and large mammals such as lions, gorillas, elephants and giraffes
London Zoo’s have recently built a brand new exhibit Animal Adventure that lets you climb, touch, tunnel and splash your way through the animal kingdom. All this in a special environment that brings fun and learning to life – even for big kids too!
With discounted group rates, group catering, free daily animal events and coach parking facilities, it’s the perfect time to bring your group along to ZSL London Zoo for a big day out.
My Experience
We planned on spending the whole day at the Zoo so we arrived at opening time and stayed all day leaving around 430pm. We took a nice walk through Regents Park to get to the entrance of the Zoo. The entrance is very well organised and have staff walking around for any questions you may have, which was very welcoming.
We first jotted down all the animal feeding times and shows that were happening throughout the day then planned our journey throughout the zoo around them, the shows are very cute and entertaining.
Walking around the following the map we were giving upon entry was a great start then after diverting to see the shows, we left the map reading and just walked around freely for wherever my son & his friend wanted to go. We went around the park a few times seeing all the animals more than once which was really good for the children. Going into the butterfly house was truly amazing, having the butterflies flying past you was amazing, we did go in several times as my son really enjoyed having the butterflies fly over him. We also spent lots of time in the Aquarium & Reptile house as there were so many different species to see. There were just so many animals the children loved every minute.
Before leaving the children had there face painted for £2.00 which was a very reasonable price. Since our last visit they have now built a brand new exhibit Animal Adventure which we are looking forward to experience in the summer holidays. Overall we had a splendid day and had so much fun, London Zoo is a great place for people of all ages.
We really look forward to returning to London Zoo again very soon.

Hot tip
Look at the display board when you first arrive for all the times for animal feeding & shows etc. Don’t Miss them they are great!!
Take a packed lunch and plenty of drinks as they are very expensive in there, its saves plenty of money to purchase some ice creams or a souvenir in the gift shop.
Where comfortable shoes as it’s a very long day.
Take a camera!
