The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, commonly known as Kew Gardens, are extensive gardens and botanical glasshouses between Richmond and Kew in southwest London.
Kew Gardens is a Botanical Research Centre and it possesses the largest plant collection in the world, homed in temperature and condition controlled greenhouses as well as the stunning gardens. With its landscaped lawns, formal gardens and greenhouses, it is no wonder that this is such a tourist attraction for anybody visiting the capital.
Probably the most recognizable structure within the gardens is the infamous Chinese Pagoda, but the Alpine house, Chokushi-Mon, Kew Palace, Queen Charlotte’s Cottage or Shirley Sherwood Gallery are beautiful and interesting attractions as well.

Kew was the location of the successful effort in the 19th century to propagate rubber trees for cultivation outside South America.
In 1987 Princess of Wales Conservatory was opened by Princess Diana and it becomes in Kew’s third major conservatory which houses 10 climate zones.
In July 2003, the gardens were put on the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
In the winter months starting on 29 November to 4 January, there is an ice rink and is one of the coolest places for winter fun, skating surrounded by the natural beauty of the great outdoors is a dreamy scenery.
