Sports lovers planning a visit to London next month may with to make a trip outside the capital to spend a day at the races.

The 2009 Royal Ascot horseracing festival begins on June 16th and offers an ideal solution for people looking to combine glamour with excitement on a day out.

Those thinking of attending the five-day event, which features a total of 30 races, have a variety of options available to them, including the Grandstand Admission ticket.

Included in the price is the opportunity to visit the pre-parade rings and parade rings, as well as take advantage of big screen televisions and over 1,000 free seats from which you can get an ideal view of the race.

For those on a slightly tighter budget, Silver Ring tickets are also available, however these do not give access to the parade rings or the grandstand.

Royal Ascot is one of the most popular horseracing events in Europe, with around 275,000 visitors attending over the course of the five days.
