Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show could provide those taking breaks in the capital this summer with a tranquil hiatus from the hustle and bustle of London’s streets.

Running from July 6th to 11th at the Surrey venue, the event is a celebration of plants, with cookery demonstrations on offer for those who enjoy growing their own fruit and vegetables.

Other highlights of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) exhibition include displays, the Rose Marquee, stands promoting gardening-related products and the Floral Marquee.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the show, which is described by organisers as the “world’s largest annual flower show” and runs from 10:00 BST to 19:30 BST each day.

Managed by Historic Royal Palaces, attractions of Hampton Court Palace include its rich history, its beautiful gardens, a world famous maze and its exhibitions.

A related event that may appeal to those planning trips to London is the RHS’s Chelsea Flower Show between May 25th and 29th at the London borough’s Royal Hospital.
