Groundbreaking Glasgow indie-rockers to play in London

Glasgow’s indie heroes Twilight Sad bring their melodic, thoughtful post-rock stylings to The Garage in London Wednesday March 24th in a gig not to be missed.

The North Lanarkshire quartet have built up a fearsome reputation north of the border and are signed to the innovative FatCat Records – home of such luminaries as Sigur Ros and Brooklyn’s multi-award-winning Animal Collective.

Described by The List magazine as producing nights of “heart-stopping yarns of domestic aversion and climbing the walls”, the band have supported Mogwai and toured the US in the last year.

Their second album, Forget the Night Ahead, was a hit across independent record shops, with Manchester’s Piccadilly Records describing the work as “a brilliant meshing of increased pop sensibility with devastating guitar noise”.

In among tough times, Twilight Sad have been hailed for their ability to find hope in the ruins and the band are building toward bigger things in 2010.

Doors open at 19:00 GMT and entry is £9. Tickets can be ordered in advance from The Garage website.
