Lovers of the great outdoors might want to add a trip to London’s Union Chapel to their to-do list if they are planning a visit to the capital next month.
This is because the Islington site is to play host to the Banff Mountain Film Festival, which features award-winning movies shot on some of the world’s highest peaks.
Subjects range from extreme sports – such as climbing, kayaking and snowboarding – to more serene films depicting the natural beauty of remote landscapes.
The show is currently on a 30-country world tour, but will be stopping off in London on February 3rd and 4th.
Among the pictures being shown at the event is Kranked: Revolve, the latest instalment in the lauded mountain biking film series.
Tickets to the event, which kicks off at 07:30 GMT on both nights, cost £11 and those attending could find themselves leaving out with one of a number of prizes, including a seven-day walking trip around Mount Blanc.
