City of London Festival

21st June – 9th July 2010

Go along to this year’s City of London festival for a series of midsummer concerts and events.

Festival Goers can sample music and culture in historic settings at the City of London Festival, with a series of live performances.

Highlights include performances from the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral and Liverpool Street Station, which range from jazz, world music, street theatre and dance.

Plus, the festival hosts dance events, film screenings, exhibitions, spoken word performances, walks and tours.

There are also several free outdoor events, as well as selected free indoor ones.

City of London Festival 2010 also celebrates the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth with events including Richard Causton’s new piece 21 upright pianos, drawing on all 21 of Chopin’s Nocturnes.

The pianos will then be dispersed throughout London as the popular “Street Pianos”, which are available for anyone to play.
