Landsberger Allee (S bahn)
The nearest train station (S Bahn) is at Landsberger Allee, you can see the Generator from the platform, its that close.
Hauptbahnhof (main station)
This is the main S-Bahn train line, take the S Train S5/7/75 eastbound to Ostkreuz. Once at Ostkreuz change to the S train S42 which is a circle line. Then get of at Landsberger Allee and you can see the Hostel from the station.
Shopping
Aside the well-known shopping streets like Kurfürstendamm and Friedrichstraße, there are many other great shopping areas in Berlin. Take the brand new Alexa for example, a huge shopping mall at Alexanderplatz. It’s only 10 minutes by tram from our hostel Berlin and offers over 180 shops!
Bars and Clubs
Of course, Generator Hostel Berlin has its own Bar, well known for great (theme) parties. Part of the attraction certainly also comes from our Happy Hour!
Berlin is a must for all party people. There are countless bars, clubs and pubs, some with very unique themes and designs that you won’t find anywhere else.
Berlin Walking Tour
This tour is free of charge (except for groups up to 10 persons). Walking is the best way to really experience this great city and get a feel for its vibrant history. All guides love Berlin and will give you a fun and informative introduction to everything there is to see.
Parks
There are a number of great parks near Generator Berlin, where you can (hopefully) enjoy the weather.
The closest is Volkspark Friedrichshain, just a 10 minute walk from the hostel, which features a summer open-air cinema, too. Each one of the many Berlin parks is special in its own way, some offering great stretches of green for sunbathing, others being well-known for summer barbecues and picknicks.
