Beaches in Berlin?
Those travelling to Berlin this summer will not expect to see any oceans, but that does not mean having to go without a holiday on the beach.
Instead, visitors can head to one of the city’s many beach bars, which import sand in order for holidaymakers and locals alike to enjoy the sun.
Among them are Strandbar Mitte and Bundespressestrand, the latter offering a view of the Reichstag to go along with a relaxing drink.
For tourists who feel that they need to cool off, the most intriguing place to take a dip could well be the Spree Bridge Bathing Ship, which sees the hull of a container ship converted into a swimming pool on the River Spree.
If that is not enough, however, a visit can be paid to Wannsee, where a pair of beaches offers the chance to surf, swim and sail before heading to the city’s trendy nightclubs in the evening.
