Berlin: city of literature

Bookworms in Berlin should head to the city’s heart of literature, the Literary Colloquium, where people come together to appreciate the written word.

Founded in 1963 by writer and literary professor Hollerer, the colloquium follows his ethos: to create a forum for a free literary life.

The building offers something for everyone – writers, publishers, journalists, booksellers and of course, readers.

People come from across the world to experience some of the events that take place throughout the year, including workshops, readings and writers’ meetings, and several radio stations even record from the Colloqium’s readings, including Germany radio and Radio Bremen.
