Check out European pop in Berlin

Music lovers planning a trip to Berlin next month may wish to consider checking out this year’s Popdeurope festival, which begins on June 1st.

Running until July 26th, the event features numerous European music artists performing in two venues, offering an eclectic mix of all genres and cultures, whatsonwhen reports.

A total of three gigs are to take place over the course of the festival, with the first being held in the Glashaus – part of the – Berlin Arena – and the final two occurring within the arena itself.

The full line-ups for each concert are yet to be announced, however the first will feature Soha, with a performance by Terrabeats DJs at the after party.

According to the news source, the aim of Popdeurope is to “showcase the diversity of Europe’s pop culture”, as well as to demonstrate how it is linked to other cultures around the world.

Also taking place in the city next month is the annual Lesbian and Gay City Festival, which is now in its 17th year.
