Visitors to Berlin can take in the city from the water if they get involved in September’s Spree Programs.

The annual event is a tour of the German capital with one big difference – it is conducted on board a boat and with live music as an accompaniment.

What’s On When reports that along the banks of the river stages will be set up with artists, musicians and bands performing music to suit all tastes, from pop and folk to choirs, brass bands or even the tango.

Participants can enjoy the sights and the music from on board a historic boat and if the tunes they are listening to are not to their liking they can simply wait for vessel to move on to the next stage.

The boat sets off from Radialsystem V, a new centre for arts and music that has been set up in the city.
