If you’ve got your heart set on a trip to Berlin this summer then you can never plan too far ahead, which is why you might want to make a note of a massive music festival taking place in the city in June.
Fete de la Musique, which takes place on June 21st, is set to feature loads of gigs from artists playing pretty much every genre you can imagine.
According to What’s on When, the event is part of a global extravaganza that was first held in Paris in 1982, with towns in almost 100 other countries also taking part.
You’ll be able to hear world music and jazz filtering out of some of the German’s capital’s best-known buildings – such as the House of World Cultures – as well as many of its famous galleries.
And for those who don’t want the night to end, Berlin’s nightclubs will be hosting parties that are sure to last long into the night.
Best of all, entry to all the gigs is free, making it ideal for those that are heading to the city on a shoestring budget.
